come with a ‘sound alibi generator’ — background noises that can be downloaded on to your cell phone to simulate the place where you are supposed to be. The selection of nine sounds include a traffic jam, road works, a circus parade, a dentist’s surgery and telephone rings. The Munich-based firm, Simeda GmbH, is demonstrating the software on simeda.com. First versions of the product will work on selected Nokia phones. — AFP
