LONDON: English football captain David Beckham has been voted Britain’s worst dressed man. The Real Madrid ace topped the poll for the worst-dressed man in Britain’s men’s magazine GQ,

the same that had once crowned him their best-dressed. “Suddenly he looks wrong. He looks

over dressed. You look back on Beckham-mania now and think, ‘What was all the fuss about?’

He looks ridiculous,” said Claudia Croft, fashion editor of Britain’s Sunday Times newspaper who helped compile the list.

The 29-year-old’s drop in style stakes also marks a shift in attitude towards the footballer, who was recently axed from a new Pepsi commercial in favour of Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas. — HNS
