Kathmandu:

To help the younger generation develop an appreciation of art and to nurture the creative instincts of the talented few, Buddha Gallery is hosting a series of five workshops for children: the Smart Art. Each weekly session will feature a different professional artist who will provide technical advice as well as insights into the life and work of a professional artist. Smart Art is a pilot project and its continuation will depend on the success of the first five sessions.

At the end, the best work will be chosen by a guest artist and exhibited. For further information, contact Deneth, curator of Buddha Gallery or Himala, assistant curator and administrator. Guests include Linda Sherpa, UK, artists Uttam Nepali, Krishna Manandhar, Nepal, Futhia, France, cartoonist Devindra Pandey, Nepal, painter Alex, USA and photographer Mani Lama, Nepal.
