KATHMANDU: Famed Hollywood actor Benedict Cumberbatch was seen shooting in Pashupati Nath Area on Wednesday.

It is learned that the Sherlock star is currently shooting for Marvel's Doctor Strange.

A twitter user, Prayush Khadka, uploaded a picture of Cumberbatch shooting in his account.

Doctor Strange, to be directed by Scott Derrickson, is a part of the Marvel Phase 3 movies. It is scheduled to hit the theatre in November next year.

Doctor Stephen Vincent Strange, also known as Doctor Strange, is a fictional superhero in American comic books, published by Marvel Comics. Dr. Strange, a nuerosurgeon by profession, is created by Steve Ditko. Also famous as Sorcerer Supreme, he protects the Earth from magical and mystical creatures threatening the planet.

Cumberbatch has performed in various plays, TV series and films. Some of his famous works include Shakespearean plays like A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2001), Romeo and Juliet (2002) and Hamlet (2015) along with Frankenstein (2011).

He played as Stephen Hawking in TV film Hawking (2004) and is well known for his role as Sherlock Holmes in Sherlock series since 2010.

He has also starred in films like Parade’s End (2012), Star Trek into Darkness (2013), The Imitation Game (2014) and in The Hobbit series (2012-14).
