Bollywood’s brave Khans
MUMBAI: Though terrorists have threatened the Khans and demanded that they quit Bollywood, the stars are going about their work.
Salman Khan is shooting for Subhash Ghai’s Yuvraj, while Shah Rukh Khan is shooting for Aditya Chopra’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.
Aamir Khan told the media that he does not care about terrorist threats. “I am not scared of any threats; these kinds of threats have come to me earlier too,” he said.
He added that he will not be cowed down by terrorist groups.
In an e-mail threat, a terrorist group calling itself the Indian Mujahideen had demanded that Muslim actors should not act in movies because it is un-Islamic and warned that if they did, they would face dire consequences. The mail was sent minutes before 16 blasts rocked Ahmedabad, killing nearly 50 people.
The Mumbai police reviewed the security of the top actors and asked their security personnel to be on the alert.
Aamir, who is working on his new film Ghajini, said, “I have my own security and I don’t need anymore.”
Another Khan, the very talented Irrfan, also lashed out at the terrorists, “Let these people come out of their hiding and say whatever they want to. Their acts are barbaric. I need to see them, who they are, to react to their threat,” he said.
