On December 8, in a very formal gathering at the Orchid hotel, Tripureshwor, The return of the Mauryas by Subodh Kumar Singh was released. Continuation of the first book Great Sons of Tharu, this book is about the Shakya Mauryas of Tharu origins who emerged as the rulers of the entire Tarai region after the fall of Mauryan Empire, about their glorious past and their conversion to Rajput. The event was organised by Bouddha Jagaran Singh Bihar Prasawari, Saptari. Chairperson for the event was Ram Lagan Chaudhari, Chairman of the organisation and chief guest of the event was Dr Keshab Man Shakya, Treasurer of Lumbini Development Trust. The book was released by Dr Shakya. At the event Singh also spoke about the subject

of his book. Author of the book is Political/Labour Specialist at the American Embassy.
