Bose against child abuse

MUMBAI: Oxfam, an NGO, has just appointed Rahul Bose as their global brand ambassador, thus making him the first Indian to have the distinction of joining hands with international celebs like Scarlett Johnson, Helen Mirren and singer Annie Lennox. With Oxfam as his platform Rahul now plans to bring about awareness on child abuse.

“We want to bring up the issue of child abuse amongst principals, teachers and parents so that any child facing abuse can come forward for legal, financial and psychological aid to us,” said Rahul.

The idea to work with children struck him when he visited the Andamans recently. Rahul has also helped to set up an organisation called The Foundation in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and has started scholarships for six children there. “All the six children are about 12 years old,” Rahul adds.
