One plus one equals 11
Is 1 + 1 = 11?
Impossible you say, but here’s how to turn the impossible into possible.
We know that
-22 = -22
or, 4-26 = 121-143
or, (2)2 –2 x 2 x 13/2 = (11)2 2 x 11 x 13/2
Now, adding (13/2) 2 on both sides,
(2) 2 – 2 x 2 x 13/2 + (13/2) 2 = (11) 2 – 2 x 11 x 13/2 + (13/2) 2
or, (2-13/2) 2 = (11-13/2)2
Taking square roots on both sides,
2-13/2= 11-13/2
or, 2 = 11
Therefore, 1+1 = 11
