Hall inaugurated
Rotary district governor Mr Prabir Chakravarthy inaugurated ‘Multipurpose Hall’ in Sanchetana Primary School on April 21. During the programme he handed over the keys of the building to the headmaster of the school, Binod Hamal. The hall was built with the financial assistance of Rotaract Club, Kathmandu Midtown.

Seminar held
Students of Grade X from Shuvatara School participated in a seminar organised by WCN Nepal in Sanepa on May 1. The seminar was a fruitful one, where students got to know about a lot of environmental issues. They learnt many new things like various species of plants, flowers, and animals. Lots of newsletters and leaflets were also provided to the students by the organisers. The trainers shared their knowledge about domesticating animals. On the whole, the seminar was informative as well as entertaining.

Students’ poll
A student council comprising twenty members was chosen on April 18, 2005 by a panel of teachers through a series of interviews and analyses. The council consists of the head boy, head girl, deputy head boy, deputy head girl and from each house plus a house captain, vicecaptain and a sports captain. The members of this council are the students of 12th grade.

DAV’s council
DAV School elected new student’s council. Students’ representative from four different houses, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Gaurishankar and Lhotse participated in the election. Chetan Dahal of Gaurishankar house was elected as head boy and Arshu Pradhan the head girl. Saurav Raiamajhi of Dhaulagiri house was elected as sports captain and Gyanden Nukhia as cultural secretary. These students took the responsibility of their post after an “investigator ceremony”, which was held in the school premises on May 2.
