Children’s fair

Want your children to have a day full of fun and education? If yes, then you may want to visit the ‘Children Expo 2007’ at Direction Exhibition and Convention Centre, United World Trade Centre, Tripureswor.

Starting from December 27, the expo has been featuring a number of items for children, ranging from fancy dress show to movies, art competition to dramas and magic shows to seminars on child psychology. Among the 44 stalls, one can also see interesting things for children on sale, like a kit to learn magic, toys, starry room decorations, trolleys, and many more. Rhino Resort, Chitwan, Lewis Berger, photo studios and banks, among others, are also offering discounts or attractive schemes.

A didactic play by orphans residing at Lumbini Japanese Monastery is also being staged every day.

The play named ‘Crane and King’ highlights the importance of every sentient being’s life. Parents can also learn how to treat their children in their tender ages at the seminars on

child psychology.

“I especially liked the photos of old people,” shared Norbu Sherpa, a class six student who had come to the expo with his friends on December 29.

“We intend to organise at least one event every month in DECC, this time we

have tried to organise an expo basically to groom children for better life,” informed Trilokeshwor Malla, Managing Director, Direction Nepal, the event organiser. The expo is on till December 30.
