Clowning with Clooney
KATHMANDU: He created history by being nominated for Best Supporting Actor and Best Director for two films at the 78th Annual Academy Awards. He is none other than George Clooney, 44, who in 1997 was named People magazine’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ and has drawn nearly a billion dollars at the box office from films such as Ocean’s Eleven, Ocean’s Twelve and Intolerable Cruelty.
In a interview prior to the Oscars, Clooney had said, “It’s a pretty amazing time for me. I wouldn’t have thought, after doing Facts of Life, that things would work out this way. If you can survive a mullet, you can survive anything.”
This year he went on to win the Oscar for the Best Supporting Actor for Syriana.
