LOS ANGELES: Singer/actress Miley Cyrus is set to play a teenager who transforms into a fairy in upcoming Disney film WINGS.

Teen idol Cyrus has been cast as Laurel, a 15 year old who grows a pair of wings and discovers she is a fairy, in the forthcoming adaptation of Aprilynne Pike's best-selling young adult novel.

Cyrus' mother Tish will serve as executive producer on the supernatural movie, reports Daily Variety
