KATHMANTU:

IEC Designer contest 2009 was held at Hotel Yak & Yeti, on January 30, which saw around 180 designers from different parts of the country showcasing their works. The designers created outfits based on the themes flowers, animals, wings, plants, sea, volcano among others.

For each category a famous personality also walked the ramp displaying one of the creations hich included Namrata Shreshta, Rekha Thapa, Sanchita Luitel, Richa Ghimire and others.

The winning design was created by Sunita Shrestha, the

first runner-up was Lali Tilja and Trishna Shah was the

second runner-up. Rajesh Hamal, Jharana Bajracharya, Shavona Shrestha and others judged the competition. — HNS
