Dharmapath fest a success

A one day “Dharmapath food and music festival” was organised to mark the 59th birth anniversary of His Majesty King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev.On the occasion, Marich Man Singh, former prime minister, unveiled His Majesty’s life-size photograph installed by Dharmapath Youth Club at Dharmapath, Newroad on July 9. The photograph that stood 20 feet tall and 10 feet broad will now be a permanent attraction for the people visiting New Road.
Food stalls from popular restaurants of the likes of Bawarchi, garment stalls and other attractive shops from computer institutes were also a part of this colourful festival. However, the greatest attraction of them all were the rock bands performing live before an overwhelming crowd of spectators. The festival featured six rock bands including X-Mantra, which has been able to win the hearts of many music aficionados, flaunted their musical talents that had the audience gaping and gawking. The festival also provided a promising platform for the other five bands that’d indeed come out with something wonderful for its audiences to relish.
The scorching heat certainly did not deter the spirits of the huge amount of crowds swarming the street of New Road and enjoying each moment of this wholesome effort put in by the Dharmapath Youth Club.
