3D and beyond

KATHMANDU: Maya Animation Academy at Jamal is the authorised training centre of Autodesk USA. It is Nepal’s first Autodesk Training Center for quality training in Media and Entertainment since 2005. In today’s world where 3D Animation is growing, here you can learn all you need to know about it. They provide Diploma in Digital Design and Visual Art (3DA). The first part includes understanding the process of animation film production, introduction of computer generated imagery, computer animation basics and workflow. You will also get real life projects. The second part includes 3D animation using Autodesk Maya, Composing and FX using Autodesk Clenaer, Non-linear Editing using Apple Final Cut Pro and much much more. — HNS

Graduation day marked

KATHMANDU: It was a memorable day for 45 graduates of Silver Mountain School of Hotel Management (SMSH) who were felicitated at its fourth Graduation ceremony at Soaltee Crowne Plaza on April 23. The chief guest of the function was Dr Bhoj Raj Ghimire, Chief Secretary, Government of Nepal, and the Guest of Honour of the Ceremony was Prasidha B Pandey, first Vice President of HAN.

It was a delightful event with great music, an interesting shadow act, sumptuous food and a feeling of pirde and achievement amidst the students. The Best Student award was given to Tenzin Tseyang, Outstanding Student was Shashank Nepal. Chandan Thapa was given The Best Teacher award and The Best Employee award was given to Shreejana Shahi. — HNS
