Everest Hotel, New Baneshwor organised a gala function at their two restaurants — Grandeur Revisited ‘The Far Pavillion’ and Exotica Revisited — and the third one at its discotheque ‘Galaxy’ on New Year’s Eve. Exotica and Grandeur were jam-packed and Galaxy was no different.

The main highlight of Grandeur Revisited ‘The Far Pavillion’ was dance performed by the renowned Lebanese Dancer Ottilie. The guests numbering 175 in an average had but all the praies for her. Ottilie said, “I have enjoyed performing here and I am sure that people too have enjoyed my performance.” She was called all the way from Paris for this particular event. In addition to the exotic belly dance the hotels own troupe also presented an Indi-pop dances and it was a plus entertainment.

The lavish buffet served was enjoyed and loved by everyone. Sumnima Kayeshtha who had brought her family along with her shared, “I think this is the perfect way to celebrate an Eve. The food is simply delicious and entertainment is fabulous.”

More than 220 people were at the Exotica Revisited. The Indi-pop dances presented by the Everest’s own troupe was equally appreciated.

When DJ Ankit Rocher took the centre stage, everyone was tempted to come to the dance floor and in no time the dance floor was crowded. Alok Malu who had decided to be at Exotica till 1 am said, “I am enjoying. The environment here is simply good. It is entertaining.” Another enthusiast Hem Gurung stated, “I am here with my family. We are fully enjoying. No complain on music. The performance by the dance troupe is simply perfect. I think there won’t be any better way than this to welcome 2004. I will be here till midnight!”

The special performance of Ottilie was appreciated. Along with the happenings the buffet was perfect to one’s palate. Sudarshan Rawat, executive chef of Everest delightfully mentioned, “The cuisine are selling like hot cakes! I am more than happy.” Mahesh Dewan, executive assistant manager of the hotel proudly shared, “We have made three outlets and each of them is packed.”

‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ was the theme of Galaxy. An average of 200 dance lovers were at the discotheque. DJ Ankit in his own style had remixed the tracks that were played and everyone was dancing to the beat. The numbers played were all the hits of 2003.

Ahimsa Yonjan stated, “This is the coolest disco in town. I am enjoying a lot.” Regarding any resolution to be made he said, “There are lots of changes to be made in 2004 and I think the year won’t be enough for that.” Sheryl mentioned, “I am here with my friends and I am loving this place. The music is excellent.”

The lucky ones presented at Exotica, Grandeur and Galaxy even took home gifts and prizes. The best thing about the whole event was that the officials of the Everest were presented everywhere to look after whether the guests were enjoying the happenings around.

Rahul Mallick, assistant manager sales of the Everest stated, “We at the Everest have done our best to entertain our guests by organising events like this and we will be doing such events time and again!”
