Although it is hush-hush at the moment, there’s news that Farhan Akhtar is to sing four songs in his acting debut Rock On, which he is producing as well. Farhan recently went to the studios to record the tracks — all solos — composed by close friends and collaborators Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.

“ Actually, I’ve been playing guitar for almost 10 years now. In my early 20s I fantasised about being a rock star. This film gives me a chance to live my fantasy. So when director Abhishek Kapoor told me I was to play a member of a rock band and I get to sing my own songs, I was quite kicked about it,” he said.
