Actor Laurence Fishburne has given up hope of ever playing his hero Jimi Hendrix because he is too old for the role. According to contactmusic.com, a movie about the rock legend has long been planned with Fishburne considered in the title role. But the 44-year old actor says he is too old to play Hendrix who died in 1970 at the age of 27. He says: “I am too over the hill for Hendrix now. I love his music and that’s going to have to be enough for me.”
