Garden of Dreams opens

Kathmandu :

The one-million-dollar project has realised its dream. The project is none other than the Garden of Dreams at Kaiser Mahal, which was officially declared open to public at its soft opening on October 8.

The opening was marked by a welcome address by Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Sports, and chairman of the SGD Board Balananda Paudel, and Jutta Stefan-Bastl, the Austrian ambassador to Nepal.

The opening of the new entrance gate at Tridevi Marg was followed by a symbolic consecration puja and by the mellifluous melodies performed by the Bhaktapur Dhime Group.

Sangeeta Thapa, organiser of the programme also informed that The Garden of Dreams Renovation Project would celebrate the soft opening with a fortnight of cultural festivities, which will conclude with a festival of lights on Laxmi Puja. Medieval Newa Music coordinated by Rameshwor Maharjan, and Nepali Poetry by Ishwor Ballav, Dinesh Adhikari, Manjul, Bimala Tumkhewa and Chandra Bir Tumbapo at 5:30 pm.
