Goodfellas is greatest movie
LONDON:
Director Martin Scorsese’s mafia drama Goodfellas has been voted the greatest movie of all time by a poll of British experts for the magazine Total Film.
According to contactmusic.com, the 1990 movie which stars Robert Deniro, Ray Liotta and Joe Pesci beat out the likes of Vertigo, which came in second. The highest placed sequel on the list was Godfather II and Orson Welles’ classic Citizen Kane came in sixth though in the past it has topped many lists.
A spokesperson for the magazine says, “Choosing the final 100 provoked endless rows and debates but we think we’ve put together the definitive list.”
