LONDON: Police arrested a hammer-wielding woman after cancer-stricken reality TV celebrity

Jade Goody woke up in a London hospital to find the stranger muttering over her.

The middle-aged woman was leaning over Goody, who is ill with terminal cancer, muttering incoherently and acting strangely, the Mirror reported on March 9.

The incident happened on Saturday and nurses at the Royal Marsden Hospital had to rush to Jade’s aid before security led the stranger away.

When police arrived and searched the intruder, they found she was carrying a hammer.

The woman, thought to be French and in her 40s, was arrested and questioned on Sunday night before being released.
