Hatcher sold for $50,000

LONDON:

Teri Hatcher sold herself for $50,000 at a charity auction. The Desperate Housewives star fetched the impressive sum at the 12th annual Keep Memory Alive’s ‘Power of Love’ gala at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Convention Centre on February 9.

A source said, “The lucky bidder will now get to take Teri on an intimate lunch date. It was a competitive bid — it seems she is a popular lady. The guy who made the winning offer looked delighted. I’m sure he is going to enjoy collecting his prize.” Teri was joined at the event, held to raise money for those with Alzheimer’s disease, by stars including Danny DeVito and magician David Copperfield. Boxing legend Muhammad Ali, 66, who suffers from the neurodegenerative disease, also attended.

The Keep Memory Alive Foundation was founded by businessman Larry Ruvo, whose father Lou was a victim of Alzheimer’s. The foundation’s annual charity events have so far raised over $20 million.
