A cosmetics company is suing actress Teri Hatcher of Desparate housewives for two million dollars, accusing her of breaking an advertising contract by promoting a rival brand’s lip gloss. The Hydroderm Company lodged a case saying she endorsed products of another firm, City Cosmetics, despite being contracted since November 2005 to promote Hydroderm. It said she posed for photographs and talked up the rival company’s products in interviews, specifically praising a City Cosmetics lip-gloss, which competes with Hydroderm’s own lip product.
