NEW YORK: She doesn’t harbour any dreams of a perfect wedding but actress Anne Hathaway says she wants to be a mum. “You know, I don’t really care about getting married...I think it’ll be really cool if it happened. I definitely want to be a mother, and I like the idea of meeting someone that I actually look forward to waking up to every day”, she said at the premiere of her new film Bride Wars.

The 26-year-old, who split with boyfriend Raffaello Follieri last June, is currently dating actor Adam Shulman. Asked about the secret behind her glowing skin and

happiness, she said, “I don’t know, I’m flustered...I hang out with

my friends, I laugh, I

have dance-offs, I try not to do too many foolish things, I drink a lot of water, I quit smoking...stuff like that.” — Agencies

LONDON: Hollywood star Johnny Depp unwinds on his private tropical retreat in the Bahamas by feeding hot dogs to sharks. The Pirates of the Caribbean star and his partner Vanessa Paradis regularly take off to the paradise island of Little Hall’s Pond Cay with their two children, daughter Lily Rose, 10, and son Jack, seven. And he admits he enjoys an unusual pastime when he sails out to the outer islands of the Bahamas on board his yacht, the Vajoliroja.

arrested on drug charges

LONDON: English musician Pete Doherty has been arrested at an airport in Switzerland after he was suspected of taking drugs in a plane toilet.The singer was flying from London to Geneva, Switzerland on June 5 ahead of a planned concert in the country but cabin crew on the British Airways flight became concerned when they allegedly found the star slumped in the aircraft’s lavatory, reports contactmusic.com.

He was believed to be intoxicated and was returned to his seat, but flight staff alerted police when a hypodermic needle was later found on the plane. Doherty, who has been battling addictions to heroin and crack cocaine for more than five years, was arrested and questioned by police when the plane touched down at Geneva airport. The Babyshambles band member was charged with an unspecified offence and handed a fine before being released later that day. He went on to perform as scheduled at the Neuchatel Open Air Festival. “We were contacted by the captain of a BA flight and a passenger was controlled by the police. He was charged but I cannot say with what. He paid a fine and was allowed to go,” said a Geneva police spokesperson. — Agencies
