The actress opened up to British GQ about how she and her family left the Catholic Church because the religion did not embrace her older brother, Michael, who is gay. “The whole family converted to Episcopalianism after my elder brother came out,” Hathaway told the magazine, “Why should I support an organisation that has a limited view of my beloved brother?”
