Hayden says no to teen roles
LONDON: Hayden Panettiere doesn't want to play schoolgirls anymore.
The 'Heroes' actress - who shot to fame playing cheerleading teen Claire Bennet in 'Heroes' - is currently starring as a high school student in new movie 'I Love You, Beth Cooper' but wants to play a variety of characters.
The 19-year-old beauty said: "I think it's kind of the last time I'm going to be able to play a high-school girl. It's not like I'm too old, but just that I think it will be the last project I might do in that genre. But never say never."
Hayden is also worried about being typecast.
She said: "If I don't get out of this category pretty quickly, it will just get more and more difficult to be seen as anything besides a cheerleader. Like it's hard to get in a corset and then you get in a corset, it's hard to get out of a corset again."
