Health is wealth
Being healthy does not merely mean having a good physique. It also means having a sound mind. It is our stupidity to prioritise good looks over a good mental state. We should understand that good health and good sense keep us strong. Bulimia and anorexia harm our well being — both physically and psychologically. They are not the result of people’s desire to be healthy but to get a good physique. If people want to be healthy, they should forget their shape but and think about their health. He who has health, has hope and he who has hope, has everything. People forget that eating more or very less than required is to a step at harming their health. It’s true that being skinny is considered fashionable, but is it truly more worthy than good health? We have seen celebrities with good physique but are not psychologically healthy. We can promote a healthy lifestyle by having proper food along with sound sleep and positive thinking.

I don’t think Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce Knowels are rebels without a cause — they’re trying to prove that women with curves are still sexy. Women who think they’re a little on the plus size should not feel bad about themselves. Instead they should create a positive outlook about their body shape and be happy with what they have. I believe that all women are truly beautiful both on the inside and outside, and you just have to do some deep soul-searching to realise it. There is no such thing as a ‘perfect figure’ but still the pressure to be thin is overwhelming. The key facts to a healthy lifestyle are to eat the right types of food and exercise regularly. That takes care of anorexia, bulimia and obesity. So, all my sisters out there, don’t be depressed. Love your curves — after all, guys do want that something to hold onto right?

One thing is for sure — looking attractive does not come before good health. What is the use of looking slim at the cost of your health? Similarly, you must also have control over your mouth and stomach while eating. You must know what amount of food is just right for you. On the other hand, regular exercise is a must for better health. Exercise regularly and you’ll find that everything seems to be easier for you. Everyday find a little bit of time to think about yourself and your health. Just think how you can be healthier and happier.

Looking good is everyone’s dream. Many people go as far as cosmetic surgery to get the body that they want because they think other than harsh dieting there is no other way. However, that that isn’t the case. There is a simple but very effective way to get the body that you want. It’s not a diet, its not cosmetic surgery and it’s not a celebrity price either. Beauty isn’t the key to everything. Feeling good about yourself and feeling good within yourself is what matters.

Being slim has caught everyone’s fancy, especially the girls. There is no problem if they can maintain it through natural and healthy processes. People usually go on crash diets, and they have to be aware of the negative impacts of such an action. Those wanting to slim down can do so through regular physical exercise and by avoiding over-eating, and greasy and fatty food. Girls can adopt harmless alternatives to get that slim figure. If there is no health, there is no use for and of beauty.

Obesity, bulimia and anorexia are all severe consequences of physical and mental health of society. Good nutrition, healthy eating, promoting a more active lifestyle are the basic ways to promote a healthy life style. One can begin a healthy lifestyle by following these basic steps — avoid too spicy and oily foods, make a habit of eating breakfast, add fruits and vegetables to meals and snacks, eat at regular intervals, exercise for at least 30 minutes daily, you could do yoga, sleep for at least five to six hours daily.

Health is wealth. So, the trend of being skinny just to look fashionable is not worth it at all. All of us are beautiful but the difference is that one person is beautiful in one’s own way whether they are skinny or fat. And it is you who makes you beautiful, not what others think of you. If someone is depressed because of his/her looks, we should make that person see that physical beauty fades, but grace, charm, attitude are ageless.
