His art and philanthropy

KATHMANDU:

Reverie Arts n Entertainment organised Sakar Shrestha’s second solo charity arts painting exhibition ‘Social Nepal’ at Thamel House Restaurant on from May 21 to 24. Architect by profession, Shrestha believes that without forgetting the technical part, art should be innovative and unique.

An objective abstract art that is a combination of sketches and paints are the features of his paintings. In this series of paintings, he has experimented with dot art, and bright colours using oil. Another remarkable style of Shrestha is the use of irregular shapes of paper for the painting. As per his theme, some of his paintings portray patriotism, while others are a fusion of tradition and the modern.

The proceeds of the sale will go to the Patan Community Based Rehabilitation Organisation (Organisation for Differently-abled), Lalitpur, and PAM-Nestling Home, The Prisoner’s Assistance Mission, Kathmandu.

Reverie Arts n Entertainment is a social organisation set up to support all kinds of children’s organsiations through the medium of art.
