Through Hits FM, Hits Nepal Pvt Ltd has been involved in promoting artists in the Nepali music industry. The Hits FM Music Awards is a way of acknowledging excellence in Nepali music. An annual mega-event, the Awards has gained in stature and size. Starting with seven categories, the total number now stands at 19, including the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Close Up Hits FM Music Awards 2062 that will be held for the ninth consecutive year is mainly sponsored by Unilever Ltd and supported by Hero Honda Karizma, Philips (Syakar Company Ltd.). Himalayan Bank, Lumbini Bank and Macchapuchchre Bank are associates and Annapurna Post is the official print media partner.

The 9th Hits FM Music Awards will include singles/albums/music videos registered at Hits FM 91.2 in the year 2061. An updated list of singles/albums/music videos eligible for the awards will be uploaded on the website www.hi-tsfm.com.np on Saturday. The Awards ceremony is scheduled for January 2006.
