Honorary degree for Sheeran

LONDON: English singer Ed Sheeran will be recognised by University Campus Suffolk (UCS), in his home county, at a ceremony later this year for his outstanding contribution to music.

The 24-year-old, who grew up in Framlingham, Suffolk, said he was “delighted” with the honour, reports mirror.co.uk. He said, “I’ve had an amazing year with my world tour and this makes it even better.

Receiving this recognition is a real privilege. UCS is at an exciting point in its development and I look forward to building links with UCS and its students.”
