Idols enrapture Kathmandu fans
Kathmandu:
The blazing sun did not matter nor did the dust. The excitement and anticipation of meeting the winner and finalists of Indian Idol 4 made the crowd forget the heat and the dust. The Indian Idol Live In Concert at the Jawalakhel ground on March 14 saw a huge turnout of music fans eager to catch a glimpse of their favourite singers performing live.
The trio was successful in making the crowd dance, jump and sing along. Some of the enthusiasts unable to hold back did some crazy dance steps and the crowd cheered them on.
With the Idol trio, our very own Kranti Ale too performed for the audience. Opening the concert Ale sang some of his popular numbers like Aye hai, Sarkari Jagir, Chyangba, She is the bomb and Nach deu Maichyang.
The peppy songs set the mood of the crowd. Soon Torsha took over the stage belting out Chalo, Chaliya Chaliya, Aja nachle and many more.
The crowd were eagerly waiting for the first ever female winner in the Indian Idol, Sourabhee to perform, who as soon as getting on the stage impressed all by greeting in Nepali.
Singing peppy numbers like Rock on, Kahi Aag lage, Race and Shut up and Bounce, she gave the same electrifying and rocking performance she is known for.
Among all Kapil gave the most flamboyant and interesting performance. He not only sang some popular Nepali numbers like Yo maan ta mero and Gorkhali but also did some typical Nepali dance moves spontaneously, while singing Sarkari jagir with Ale. Speaking in Nepali with the crowd, he made all throw their hands up in the air and jump.
Similarly Torsha sang Chyangba with Ale, though she forgot some words in between, the crowd supported the performance.
They will be performing in Pokhara on March 15.
