Idols to win hearts again

Kathmandu:

A press meet for ‘ Experience with Idols’ concert was organised at Hotel de l Annapurna on December 21 by Zero hour. The press meet started at a very Nepali time as always. The top two finalists Prashant Tamang and Amit Paul along with contestant Charu Semwal with their charming smiles made everyone forget about the cold and the time they spent waiting for them to arrive. “Thank you for coming despite the cold,” said Prashant, who seemed to have gotten over his shyness with the media as he spoke with charm and confidence. He said that he will be performing some well-loved songs popular among the crowds and two of his new tracks.

Though all three of them have come and performed time and again in Nepal, they said that every time they come to Nepal it feels like it is the first time. Both Prashant and Amit expressed their happiness to get a chance to perform together in front of the Valley fans. “It is always a great pleasure to come and perform in Nepal, people are really very sweet and friendly here. I knew Nepal loved me but when I first performed here I was surprised to see people screaming my name and loving me the way they love Prashant, it was unexpected and nice,” said Amit. He added that after so many concerts in different places he still likes the rocking crowd of Nepal. Charu too agreed with him as she too felt that the response from Nepali crowd is always great and she loves watching the audience dance to her songs.

During the concert at Dasarath Stadium on December 22 a programme will be held to honour the women mountaineers who will be scaling the Mount Everest during their expedition ‘First Inclusive Women Sagarmatha Expedition 2008 Spring’.

The event is being organised by Zero Hour and presented by Mc Dowell’s No.1 and THT Live.
