Sanoop Paudel’s Voice released

Kathmandu: Samjhana Audio Video released Sanoop Paudel’s first solo album ‘Voice’, at a press meet on April 18. Consisting of eight tracks, the album is essentially melodious and pleasant. Music is composed by Jems Pradhan, Lochan Rijal, Hari Das Gurung, Prabin Tamang, Sanju and by Paudel himself. His voice lends itself nicely to the music and gets quite experimental with jazz track, ‘Samjhauda’. Undoubtedly, his most popular song till date is the Prabin Tamang composed “Samjhana” which thrust him into the limelight. Despite the song doing well on the charts, the song is featured in the album some two years after its single release. Paudel says that he did not want to hasten the release of his album immediately after the song made it big to ensure that he gave meticulous attention to all the other songs. He says that he also does not want to be typecast into a particular genre or contain himself to one strict style. His other earlier released single ‘Sambandha’, steadily picking up on popularity charts is also on the album. According to Paudel the album has a song for everyone and that its variety is the unique selling point. Albert Bajracharya, producer of the album says that it was Paudel’s potential that drove him to produce the album. — HNS
