The government has proposed collaboration with the Finnish government to improve school education in Nepal.

The proposal was put forward during a courtesy call between Minister for Education, Science and Technology Sasmit Pokharel and Finland's Ambassador to Nepal, Petri Puhakka, at the Ministry today.

Minister Pokharel stated that the proposal for collaboration in the education sector was made in recognition of Finland's education system, which is regarded as one of the best in the world.

Highlighting the long-standing cordial relations between Nepal and Finland, he thanked the Finnish government for its continued support in Nepal's development.

Minister Pokharel, who also serves as the government spokesperson, shared the government's priorities and upcoming programmes, while appreciating Finland's contributions to Nepal's education sector.

He further expressed hope for continued support from Finland in the development of various sectors, including education, in the coming days.
