Israeli film fest to roll in
KATHMANDU: In 45 years of diplomatic relations with Nepal, the embassy of Israel is organising the ‘First Israeli Film Festival’ in the Capital at the Russian Cultural Centre from March 28-30.
At a press conference held on March 21, Israeli ambassador to Nepal, Dan Stav, said, “The selection of the films has be done considering universal human sentiment, all of which appeal to all kinds of audience.”
An Israeli embassy press release states, “Israeli film industry is vivid and diversified reflecting many aspects of life in Israel. it has undergone major developments since its inception in 1950s. The selected for the festival will expose the viewers to a fascinating facet of the modern Israeli culture.”
Six films made at different times from different genres ranging from comedy, drama, action, biography will be screened.
March 28: Giraffes at 3:00 pm, Yana’s Friends at 5.45 pm
March 29: Desperado Square at 3:30 pm, Aviya’s Summer at 5:45 pm
March 30: Policeman Azulai at 3:30 pm, Bonjour, Monsieur Shlomi at 5:45 pm
