MUMBAI: Shah Rukh Khan’s own innovative promotion strategy backfired on him resulting in his next film changing its name as ‘Billu’. The sudden omission of the word ‘Barber’ from the title Billu Barber is a direct result of the special invitation given by SRK to the barbers to catch up the movie. The hair dressers after seeing the film thought that the film should not be released with the word ‘Barber’ in it.

They conveyed their reservations about the title to SRK and he rather than inviting the wrath of a huge group of people leading to more problems decided to omit the word. It has been omitted from the song Billu Bhayankar and the dialogues.
