“The thing with me being a mom is, that title should be played out. I mean, to be a mom and pass your kid off to a day nanny and then a night nurse, well, why? I don’t really understand it. That’s why for the most part for the first three years, I have not had a full-time nanny. Mind you, there’s plenty of moms who work, and I salute them, too, that they have to pass their kid off to a nanny. But it’s just a matter of finding that balance. You put so much love and you work so hard on making this person, that the notion of anything happening is so scary. And every mom will tell you that you’re going to live in fear for the rest of your life. That is to me the most difficult thing about being a mother, is having things not being under your full control.”
