Film stars Kareena Kapoor and R Madhavan have been voted the cutest vegetarians in an online poll conducted by animal lovers.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals’ (PETA) Indian youth division organised

the poll, inviting young people to choose celebrities with passion and compassion.

Screen siren Mallika Sherawat, Mahima Chaudhary, Shahid Kapur and Rajneesh Duggal were the runners-up.

Madhavan has been involved with PETA activities, making a pro-vegetarian public service announcement, introducing PETA’s Compassionate Citizen programme in Tamil and also launching the organisation’s popular online e-card.

“I love animals, so I don’t eat them,” has been Madhavan’s message while urging his fans to give up eating meat.
