Korean extravaganza
Kathmandu:
It is always a great pleasure and opportunity to experience and enjoy the cultural and traditional aspects of different countries. And what might be a better way to understanding a country than through its food, music and dance? The Korean Association in Nepal is all set to let people enjoy and celebrate the rich culture and traditions of Korea through its delicious food, breathtaking dance performances and bazaar of Korean products at the Korean Festival to be held at the Soaltee Crowne Plaza on November 3.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the recent flood victims of Nepal.
This is a chance for you to enjoy Korea and the country’s different flavours and colours in a lovely environment. Apart from the various food stalls where you can enjoy delicious Korean cuisine, don’t forget to enjoy the traditional and folk dance performed by trained dancers at the event. Jangguchum and Buchaechum are colourful and graceful fan dances that will be the highlight of this cultural extravaganza. This dance is performed by dancers carrying ornate, feathered fans in both hands. The fans come together to create waves, flowers, butterflies and other forms for a fantastic display.
The event sponsored by Korean Embassy, KOICA, Kathmandu Korean Chu-rch and Korean School is from 12:00 noon-7:00 pm. Entry fee is Rs 20.
