Kylie Charms

LONDON: Pop sensation Kylie Minogue’s new album ‘Body Language’ has not sold well in the Unites States. According to a report in the Herald Sun, neither her first Grammy nor a swag of TV appearances could help her new album which faced a disappointing debut at No 42.

Her last album ‘Fever’ entered the US charts at No 3, on the back of her smash single “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head”, which went top 10 in the States. However, Kylie’s fans have jumped to her defence saying that the album was released in an extremely busy chart week.

Moreover, ‘Body Language’ has been out for as long as three months in other countries, so many diehard fans would have bought imported copies already. The album has not performed well in Britain and Australia either. Meanwhile, the sexy babe has a secret to share! The Aussie singer has revealed that although she is desperate for kids, she fears that she is too old.

According to a report in The Sun, the 35-year-old pop diva admitted that her chances of having a happy marriage like her parents have already vanished.

“I’ve looked at my parents and they’re just still together, they’re still in love, they miss each other madly, they hold hands and canoodle. They’re just the best example for me. And it slightly pains me to think that I will never have that,” the singer said.

Kylie, who has been ruling the charts with foot tapping numbers like “I should be so lucky”, revealed her baby fondness in a candid tête-à-tête on TV. “A woman of my age can’t help but think about those things and having children would be the best thing I’ve ever done,” Kylie said. “Well it’s not too late... I’m asked about it all the time. And I never have really a straight answer for it. We’ll see if and when it happens,” the “Slow” singer said, referring to constant questions about her age and motherhood.

The singer also steers clear of the issue of marrying French actor Olivier Martinez and said that they are not serious.

“When girlfriends speak to me and they are in serious relationships, married with children, I say, ‘Well that must be great’. But really, until I experience that myself I won’t know. I know it will be the best thing I have ever done,” the sexy bombshell added.

However, the French star is a chivalrous dude, as he declared the Aussie singer off-limits when chatting to Confidential.

“What did you say, I can’t hear you, I have a bad reception, goodbye, click,” he joked, holding a bottle of water to his ear as if it was a phone.

The actor was in New York recently to promote schlock-thriller ‘Taking Lives’, in which he stars alongside Angelina Jolie and Ethan Hawke. “I’ll have to call my girlfriend and say to her ‘what’s going on with Australians?’ You are the only people talking about my girlfriend more than about my job,” Olivier noted.

“My life is my life, I love pretty women especially one pretty as this, but let’s talk about movies because I also love my job,” he added.

And that’s as close to the truth as Martinez can get. According to The Sun, the sexy babe practically brought central London to a standstill recently with her powerhouse performance at the famous ‘Gay’ night at the Astoria.

Meanwhile, Kylie has clarified that she would never say a bad word about her fellow pop divas. The Aussie singer reportedly called herself “bigger than Beyonce” and criticised the raunchy videos of Britney and Christina Aguilera.

“Kylie would like to clarify that she has never criticised Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Beyonce — or, in fact, any of her contemporaries — and wishes each artiste the very best,” Australian media quoted her spokesman.
