Life’s fugitive moments

KATHMANDU: Sirjana contemporary art gallery is hosting Sunita Rana’s solo exhibition titled

‘Nirantar’, which was inaugurated on November 20.

Sunita’s sheer contemporary paintings staged at the exhibition depicts the fugitive but yet enduring nature of life, and the changes that transform it. In different contours outlined by vibrant colours and creative imagination, the paintings come alive in different guises.

In a total of 39 paintings staged at the exhibition, Rana is distinctive and eloquent in her own original style, and experiments with a wide range of media — canvas, lokta paper, animation and digital art.

The paintings also have philosophical undertones that are subtly expressed through masterful brushstrokes.

(The exhibition is on till November 30)
