Lindsay Lohan coming to India

LONDON: Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan, best known for her wild antics and numerous romantic liaisons, is coming to India to shoot a documentary about child trafficking. The ''Mean Girls'' star has teamed up with the British Broadcasting Corporation and is set to travel to India next month to front a show highlighting the plight of deprived children in the country, reported Contactmusic.

The 23-year-old was inspired to support more good causes following a meeting with British businessman Richard Branson in Dubai. "I''m going to India soon, actually, before Thanksgiving.

And I''m doing a documentary for the BBC Network. I like to support charities.

I think it''s important to kind of have a voice when you can have one, and make a difference," said Lohan. The actress who derailed her Hollywood career with her partying lifestyle, is hoping to turn a new leaf by focusing on charity work in the future.

"It''s basically on the trafficking of children in Bihar, India. So it''ll be starting soon.

We''re just trying to work out the times and the dates. I''m a little nervous, but I''m excited to do something like that," she added.
