Literary figures to be felicitated

KATHMANDU:

The International Nepali Literature Society, DC Chapter will be felicitating Krishna Singh Pradhan, prominent figure in the world of Nepali literature, states a press release by the Chapter. Along with Pradhan, literary figure Kavita Ram Shrestha and Govardan Puja (Rajendra Lal Shrestha) will also be honoured at the function. This was decided at a programme chaired by President of DC Chapter Govinda Giri.

Pradhan is the recipient of the Madan Puraskar for Kavi Vyathit Ra Kavya Sadhaan. His latest published works include Napharkane Din Haru and Jindagi Ka Tipot Haru.

Shrestha is famous for the newness he has brought into Nepali literature through his works. He established the ‘Aswikrit Sahitya Puraskar.’

Govardan Puja has published a number of poems, stories and novels. He has been involved in the media sector for the last two decades and is currently associated with Annapurna Post as senior sub-editor. His publications include Asahamati ka Paila haru, Dharti ko Dhulo, Aba Itihas Rundaina, Sunyata ko Aanchal Bhitra, Vachal Onth haru, Prem Avatar, and many more. They will be felicitated in Washington DC.
