KATHMANDU:
“It feels great, I really don’t have words to describe how I’m feeling,” said Bikrant Man Shrestha talking about an art workshop and solo exhibition, to be held in the Netherlands, Amsterdam and Hamburg.
Shrestha, previously involved in the ‘Old Man’s Mirror’, is flying to Amsterdam on the invitation of the foundation Stitching Oostelijke Eilanded (SAOE) as a special guest for a workshop titled ‘Open Air Alteliar Route’ to be held from April 20-22. Around 50 artists from the European Union will be participating in it.
“I think this is just the starting for me, and being a young artist it is a good opportunity for me. I hope it will also be an encouragement to other young artists,” he said. The artworks created in the workshop will be displayed in two places in Amsterdam.
Shrestha will also be holding solo exhibitions in the Netherlands, Amsterdam and Hamburg.
His exhibition is titled ‘Creation of Movement II’. “I wanted to show movement of colours, lines and life itself,” said the artist describing his exhibition.
