Little ‘water polo’ Angels

KATHMANDU:

The Liril Water Polo Tournament organised by the Hyatt Regency on May 27 on its premises was a grand success.

After a fierce competition, the Little Angels’ team beat the Pilgrims team 1 to 0 and bagged the first prize — a gift voucher for accommodation at the Hyatt. The winners will get a night’s stay at the hotel (bed and breakfast).

The runners up got a gift voucher for lunch at The Café, Hyatt.

The tournament was participated by 14 from banks, colleges, youth centres, schools and local residents, corporates, and it was a pitched battle between the teams and each gave the other an equal run for money.

This year the tournament also included categories like Best Goal Keeper, Man of the Match and the Best Team. While Younis Ansari was declared Man of the Match, Sunny Khadka of Kathmandu College of Management was declared the Best Goalkeeper and Ideal English School was the Best Team.

They were given gift hampers and certificates from the heads of departments of Hyatt. Lunch and hi-tea had been arranged for the participants. — HNS
