Make a video on democracy
KATHMANDU:
The US Department of State and private sector partners launched a worldwide video competition aimed at enhancing global dialogue on democracy on September 15, the United Nations’ first International Day of Democracy.
A US Embassy press statement of September 25
states that the embassy is pleased to confirm that Nepal is among the first countries enrolled in the challenge and that all Nepalis are invited to participate in the contest.
The Democracy Video Challenge asks budding filmmakers, democracy
advocates, and the general public to create short
videos that complete the phrase, ‘Democracy is…’ The US Embassy here will select local winners and forward their submissions
to Washington DC for the global challenge.
The challenge was also launched online at www.youtube.com/democracychallenge, and at www.vide-ochallenge.america.gov.
