Matthew McConaughey is desperate to date Jennifer Aniston, it has been reported. The Failure to Launch actor, who recently split from girlfriend Penelope Cruz, is said to have called the former Friends actress to ask her on a date, but was turned down. A source told America’s Star magazine: “When Matthew called, Jen told him she was flattered, but she didn’t think it would be right to go out with Matt while she’s dating Vince.”

However, despite the rejection, the heartthrob actor is said to be even more determined to persuade Brad Pitt’s ex-wife to date him. The source added: “He doesn’t give up when he has his eye on someone. He’s figuring out his next move.”

Aniston’s representatives have denied she received a call from McConaughey.
