KATHMANDU:

The D-Day for these 19 ladies is dawning near. Six days to go, and the most deserving lady with the lethal combination of beauty and brains will be crowned the Dabur Vatika Miss Nepal 2007.

Many must be impatient to see their favourite contestant win, while many must be busy voting for their favourite on 2722.

The closed camp has begun, and the girls will be following a strict regimen of training in preparation for their day in the spotlight. On April 2, the judging of the two titles — Vatika Saffron Glow Soap with Sandal Miss Beautiful Complexion and Dabur Vatika Miss Beautiful Hair — took place.

The panel of judges for these two contests were — the first Miss Nepal Ruby Rana, the pageant’s official make-up artist Sama Karki, Binu Shrestha, Jyotsana Saud and Dr Super Bahadur KC (dermatologist).

The winners of the titles will be announced on the day of the event itself.
