‘Motörhead is over’

LOS ANGELES: There will be no more Motörhead without the band’s legendary Lemmy Kilmister, who passed away earlier this week due to cancer. While fans were still mourning the death of Kilmister, the iconic heavy metal band’s drummer Mikkey Dee made the heartbreaking announcement in an interview with Sweden’s Expressen newspaper, reports aceshowbiz.com.

“Motörhead is over, of course. Lemmy was Motörhead. We won’t be doing any more tours or anything. And there won’t be any more records. But the brand survives, and Lemmy lives on in the hearts of everyone,” Dee told the publication just hours after Kilmister’s death on December 28.
