While the excitement of Miss Nepal 2005 is sweeping the entire nation off its feet, other pageants of lesser prominence are collecting an equal number of participants and fans. Another such pageant kicking off in the backdrop is the Mr and Ms Diamond 2062. The pageant is organised by B Fashion.com and is scheduled to take place at Blue Star Hotel on August 19. “The pageant is expected to provide a platform for those aspiring to make a career in the showbiz industry,” says Sunil Singh Thakuri, media director and event coordinator, B Fashion. Altogather 30 contestants have been selected for the grand finale, which includes 15 male participants and 15 female participants. The participants have undergone the requisite training for the final event and will be selected by a panel of three judges that inculdes Rajiv Shah, Kamala Shrestha and Raj Manandhar. The winners of the contest are entitled, apart from the crown itself to perform for 2 music videos, free shopping at Namaste Supermarket and free dinners. A dance party has also been arranged to give the event an extra vive that would have the models, singers and audiences rocking cheek to cheek. Image channel, Image FM and Saptahik Bimarsha are the official media for the event.

Lowland, Online Café, Feed point, Photo Concern, Shaym Boutique and Spa mineral water are the official sponsors. The tickets are priced at Rs 300 and available at Online Café, Tik and Tok, Himalayan Java, Nanglo Bakery Café outlets and Jawlakhel cable networks.
